Q: Is Madame Redrum’s the same as last year?
A: No. We have revamped the attraction for this year with new and horrible treats around each corner. We are constantly looking for better ways to terrify our visitors, whether it be by adding new rooms, shifting spaces, or by updating props and effects.

Q: Are you open if it is raining?
A: Yes. Our attraction is indoors and weather does not affect our operation. However, the line to enter the haunt is outdoors. Be sure to prepare accordingly if it is raining.

Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: All ticket sales for the 2023 haunt season will be online only. The outdoor ticket booth will be closed. Please read all warnings, FAQS and DISCLAIMERS before purchasing tickets. Tickets can be purchased here.

Q: Is it scary?
A: We provide one of the most frightening haunted attractions in Virginia. Our walk-through attraction is a sensory experience. You will be bombarded with sights, sounds, and smells. This attraction is unlike any other in the country. Madame Redrum WILL make you scream.

Q: Can I get out if I want to?
A: Yes, we have several people escorted out each night through our “chicken” doors.

Q: If I am too scared can I get a refund?
A: We have a no refund policy. You have purchased a ticket for us to scare you. If you are so scared that you decide not to enter the haunted houses then we have done our job!

Q: Who should not enter our haunted house?
A: People with heart conditions, or who have seizures, pregnant women, weak bladders, folks with mobility issues or any other medical condition non-conducive to haunted attractions. If you have ANY extreme condition: Medical, mental, emotional… DO NOT ENTER THIS HAUNTED ATTRACTION.

Q: If I’m in line at closing time will I still get in?
A: Yes, our haunted house is open until all patrons in line get to experience the horror that is Madame Redrum’s Nine Gates of Doom. Make sure you arrive as close as possible to your selected time slot in order for us to process patrons as expeditiously as possible.

Q: How do I avoid long lines?
A: Tickets are sold online and in one hour time slots. You must choose a date and time to attend. Please arrive during your selected time slot to help us alleviate long line waits. On sold out nights there may be a long line, but we do our best to process victims patrons as quickly as possible.

Q: Will the actors touch me?
A: Madame Redrum’s has a strict “no touch” policy. With that being said we ask that you do not touch our actors or any of the props that are in the haunted house. You don’t touch us, we don’t touch you. Please use common sense. If any of these rules are broken you will be removed from the attraction.

Q: Can I bring my kids?
A: We state that our haunted house is not recommended for children. Every child is different and we ask that you make the judgment call as to whether or not they will be able to make it through. Children under twelve should be accompanied by an adult. Madame Redrum’s involves adult themes that may not be suitable for children. Infants or toddlers are not allowed inside.

Q: Is there a different price for children?
A: We only have one general admission price.

Q: Can I come in costume?
A: Yes, but no Halloween masks are allowed. Medical face masks, however, are allowed. Also, it is recommended that you wear a good pair of shoes. We strongly suggest that you DO NOT wear high heels, flip flops, sandals, etc.

Q: Can I bring my camera?
A: No recording devices are allowed inside Madame Redrum’s Nine Gates of Doom, however, you are welcome to bring a camera for photo’s outside of the haunt. We also will have plenty of photo opportunities with our outdoor actors. They would love to take a photo with you!
